Our mission is to enable wider and faster dissemination and to foster understanding of the rapidly expanding knowledge base in medical physiology for the betterment of human health.

The journal aims to serve researchers, physicians, students and policymakers with an interest in medical physiology and medicine.

We welcome submission of manuscripts that address research questions pertaining to the broad field of medical physiology. Submission of reports of experimental or clinical research integrative of organ systems is encouraged. Articles in Medical Physiology Online (MPO) will typically contribute to understanding systems level regulatory mechanisms in physiologic or pathophysiologic states. Contributions that are likely to improve the way we learn or teach medical physiology are welcome.
